How I Wear MY PEACE of jewelry - Sheath Dress
Before I go into my spiel about My Outfit.
You fellow bloggers can understand how "embarrassing" to shoot outdoors.
I shoot my own photos, mainly at the Botanical Gardens in Westwood;
hopefully away from everyone.
In this case, a lovely lady was walking by and said she really admired me taking photos of myself
Awkward!

Defined as flattering for most body types
Basic wardrobe staple for any closet
Fall 2013 fashion trend
I got mine
First time I've worn my Sheath Dress,
which I purchased several months ago (on sale) from Urban Outfitters
It's bejeweled with 1920's fringe
Another dress that I had to have but did not know where or how I would wear it
It's a stretch for me to wear dresses because
I don't like to wear heels and I commute to work on my bike
But I figured it out.
Wear flats.
Paired the dress with cropped Levi jacket
Considering the high neckline and design on the dress,
not much jewelry can be worn.
I kept my jewelry simple
A sheath dress can be worn so many ways.
Depending on the print and shape
wearing jewelry is not necessary with a busy print
and with solid color dress, then play up the dress with a lot of jewelry.
In the case of this dress, jewelry should be to a minimum

I just love this sheath-with-a-twist, Zalina! Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday.
ReplyDeleteThank you for having Visible Monday!
DeleteZalina, I think this dress is killer on you. I loved it even before scrolling down and seeing those fantastic fringes. I do some beading, and I really love wooden beads. They are lighter than many other types of beads, yet can be substantial looking. Your earrings are very, very nice.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I went to your website. You are really talented.
DeleteBeautiful, and perfect with flats. No need for heels if you don't want! Gorgeous details and will work all winter with tights or skinnies under, more jackets and of course all your wonderful jewelry. Wear it everywhere!!!!! Such a classic shape, just skimming your figure. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteJan, that is such a good idea. I hope to buy black opaque tights and rock my dress with knee high boots. Thanks for the great idea. :)
DeleteLove that dress...the fringes!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteBeautiful women in a beautiful dress :) you look fantastic kisses Beata
ReplyDeleteThank you Beata. I appreciate the complement. :)
DeleteYou look marvelous Zalina. The dress is absolutely gorgeous and you rock it. Love the pairing with the cropped Levi jacket. Absolutely cool.
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic day
Lenya
Thank you Lenya. Loved the color combo of your outfit.
DeleteBeautiful dress! I love the detailing and the fringe.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about taking photos in public. I won't even take them in my front yard!
Thank you, Val. Yes the less people around the better.
DeleteI think you look retro and edgy at the same time in that dress. I can see why you had to have it! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAlicia
Zalina you look beautiful in your sheath! I appreciate not only the outfit details... but how you work the outfit into your life...I always think that is how any outfit becomes more interesting!
ReplyDeleteYes, I do know, as we all do... how awkward taking pictures in public can be! I have recently decided I care more about the photo though now... and that has been a couple of years in the making! I am very impressed you take your own photos... something I want to work on!
Wishing you a wonderful week!
Thanks so much, Tamera. You have some really beautiful photos on your blog. I just purchased a Nikon 5200. I think it's an awesome camera for self photography.
DeleteI agree with everyone, this dress is stunning on you! Just the right amount of details to make it interesting and stylish. I'm like you, most of my pictures are taken in uncrowded places.

This is such a great dress on you! You have an amazing figure and awesome arms - they made to be shown off in sleeveless dresses! I hate taking pictures for the blog in public - so embarressing. Me and the bf pretend to be tourists!
ReplyDeleteThat is a crazy cool dress! And I really think you styled it nicely :) It kind of seems like it would be a difficult piece to remix, but I think it's got a great design!
