Even though I love my STATEMENT NECKLACEs, it's hard for me to carry off wearing with my dressing style. I am pretty casual; usually jeans, boots or tennis shoes and t-shirt. But I have given myself the challenge to rock MY PEACE of jewelry. How can I ask others to wear MY PEACE of jewelry, when I won't wear it myself. A statement necklace can be paired with casual attire, such as I did here. My mini - WO-MANNEQUIN. I just sold this one a few weeks ago on Etsy. The mini is really nice to feature a necklace, such as these lovelies made by me. mini-WO-MANNEQUIN featured above was the only one I made so far. I am in the process of making another one right now. Even though I liked this one, there was one thing that bothered me. It not having a neck. What little neck it does have, is just not enough for my taste. So this next one I am making now will have a long neck. When it comes to making a Mannequin, you don't have to follow the form to the tee. Be creative! Add to or subtract from the piece based on what you desire. The neck here is a little too long, but I am in the process of making it, so I will chop off some of the neck. Sounds so gruesome. Last week, I was able to see MY FAVORITE , FAVORITE singer in the whole wide world. Her name is Alice Russell . She's from England. She sounds better than Amy Winehouse. Yep! I said it. She sounds better! She played at The Exchange in Downtown Los Angeles. Nestled in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles on Spring Street is Exchange LA. Clubbing, going out, dancing your ass off or just taking in a performance this is a beautiful  place to do it; in a beautiful art deco historic building. Built in 1929 and designed by architect Samuel E. Lunden , ground was broken on creating this wonderful building three days before Black Thursday when the stock market crashed, October 21st of 1929. The building was home to the Los Angeles Stock Exchange . It was considered the "Wall Street of the West. Final trading took place until 1986. And since that time, the building had remained largely unoccupied. Exchange LA opened in 2009. The weather in "sunny" southern California has been kind of all over the place. This weekend it rained and was very cold. But last week, it WAS sunny and I wore the following outfit with MY PEACE of jewelry . They can be worn with pants, jeans, skirts or shorts. I need to get more! I have only this one! Tunics are excellent for Spring & Summer. They are a must in the closet or drawer. Found this great posting on  e How, How to Make Your Own Tunic Top . I am going to try make one and will post the results. Eeek! I am not the best sewer. In the meantime, I am shopping for tunics. Plain and simple, it makes me feel good to give. Sure I want to sell MY PEACEs, but I also want to give MY PEACEs. Especially my CUFFS because, the phrases on the CUFFS express what most people need to remind themselves. You are not alone in how you feel or what you feel.
