Yes, ruffles Usually me and ruffles don't mesh But I loved this dress It's a thrift store find. This particular photo session, I call my "hard & soft" shoot. Me wearing a feminine dress and  photographing myself in front of metal sculpture With my ruffle dress I wore MY PEACE of jewelry Chandelier Earrings These earrings I made using Turquoise heishi beads, silver metal gypsy beads and silver metal wire. How I Wear MY PEACE of jewelry - Oversized jeans

Image
I guess I am somewhat a "quirky" dresser. I mean I don't mean to dress a certain way, but when I look at my own photos I ask myself, "Did I really leave the house in that?" I guess the answer is yes. When I put on clothes, I think comfort with an edge.  My oversized Levi's are the perfect answer. Other women may buy the "boyfriend" jeans, I buy oversized Levi's from the thrift store. They cost $8; not $108 and they are comFORtable. I go specifically for 501s. You can get some really cool ones on Ebay. Here I paired my Levi's with another rock n' roll legend, Jimi Hendrix       t-shirt - Urban Outfitters     Photos taken at Botanical Gardens in Westwood      I take my own photos. Sometimes the photos are in focus and other times they are not. Here are my success and failures     MY PEACE of jewelry CUFF "peace of mind mind of peace"       ...

MY (new) PEACE of jewelry

Image
I love this PEACE! Ok, I love all MY PEACEs. MY latest PEACE that I made here features chunky Turquoise HEISHI (pronounced Hee-shee) beads hanging from a chunky brass Rolo Chain     What is heishi? Heishi beads originally come from the Navajos, a Native American tribe from the Southwest. Heishi means shell and in the past, referred to pieces of shell that have been drilled and hand rolled or ground into bead shapes and strung as necklaces.       What I like about this necklace, is it can be paired with other necklaces for a pretty nice bohemian look   I paired it with one of my multi-strand, various Link Chain Necklaces Available on Etsy   I paired it with a simple Rolo Chain         Necklace available on Etsy   Handmade Jewelry & Mannequins by Zalina

How I Wear MY PEACE of jewelry - Aztec jeans & bike

I've been gone for a couple of weeks; on vacation with my dad in Texas. It was hot! 109 degrees everyday. Anyway, the jeans, I'm wearing here, I did take them on my vacay. These photos were taken prior to leaving. As I stated before, I am not the girly girl dresser. Being tomboyish, I prefer jeans to a dress, flats to heels and t-shirts to blouses. Another reason I dress the way I do is I ride my bike to and from work. So, when I get dressed I have to consider myself riding comfortably on my bike. t-shirt - Brandy & Melville jeans - Urban Outfitters purse - unknown boutique jewelry - MY PEACE of jewelry As for MY PEACE of jewelry , I wore my handmade Earrings Necklace Handstamped Cuffs Wood Earrings Collection Layering Charm Necklaces Collection Handstamped Cuffs Collection I wore all three cuffs together and mixed with a sterling silver rolo chain and bracelet.
