MY OUTFIT  may not be perfectly styled  but it's styled perfectly for me I hope you feel confident in whatever you wear   These are my go-to OLD Levi's when I am not feeling like  being a stuffed sausage in my skinny jeans. Wore this Friday to work. Working at a major college in Los Angeles, I admit, I can push the boundaries with my  selection of clothes. But I figure, I can "glam up" My Outfit with MY PEACE of jewelry Ok, mayby MY PEACE of jewelry won't "glam up" My Outfit But, you got to dress what feels best for you.   I was inspired to make  MY PEACE of jewelry  by costume jewelry, I've seen over the years. How I Wear MY PEACE of jewelry - Tagua Nut & Seed Bead Necklace

Image
I love this necklace!  I made it using amber colored seed beads green Turquoise chip beads a scattering of brass beads and finally featuring a  Tagua Nut Pendant What are Tagua Nuts Tagua Nut,  also known as vegetable ivory, because of its hardness,  is the actual seed of a tree similar to a palm tree. Tagua tree grows in the tropical rain forests of some South American countries, mainly Ecuador, Columbia and Venezuela. As for the outfit. I'm wearing black pleather pants. I know they are a little out of season, wearing them in the Spring. But last week it was pretty cold, so they were okay to wear. What I like about them, are they are light weight, comfy and rocker chick  all rolled up into an awesome pair of pants, which by the way I bought a few weeks ago from Urban Outfitters for  $10! Browsin for Fashion - Collared Shirts with Statement Necklaces

Image
Being a maker of statement necklaces, MY PEACE of jewelry   when I browsed the blogs to aadmire other statement necklace, all I saw were photos of celebrities wearing them.   It's fine and dandy that they wear them,  but I want to see "real" people. With what do "real" people wear statement necklaces How does one who dresses more demure than flashy, wear a statement necklace? Simple: pair it with a collared shirt.   A statement necklace layered over the collar is a STATEMENT , adding style and edge. In browsing the Internet, I found these lovely ladies, who I think wear the look well.
