T he Olive Tree has both a sentimental and religious significance. According to the Bible, it is believed that Jesus prayed underneath an Olive Tree in the Garden of Gethsemane after the Last Supper. This sacred tree is still in existence today. The Bible repeatedly refers to the Olive Tree as a symbol of peace, fertility, and prosperity. In the story of Noah's Ark, a branch from an Olive Tree was brought back to the Ark by Noah's Dove symbolizing peace. Also, on Palm Sunday, pilgrims carry Olive Wood branches commemorating the Lord's entry into Jerusalem. Thus, the Olive Tree became a dominant symbol of the Holy Land. Being a jewelry designer, I know what is needed to be a good mannequin. 1. sturdy 2. light 3. mobile 4. pretty   I have a tutorial on how to make your own DIY - Mannequin and there are several other tutorials all over the internet But if you want one already made, you can purchase one of my WO-mannequin I've sold several on Etsy   Since I started making these mannequins a few years ago, I've added a couple of different shaped ones.   Here I want to show how my favorite necklace (I made it too) looks on each WO-mannequin. It's been a while since I made something. I am posing with the MY (new) PEACE of jewelry , which I made last week. Love it! I can't get away from bib style necklaces. For some reason, I like the number 3, so most of necklaces are three strands. This one is no different. Except! All three strands are not the same. Only 2 strands are the same. Beads in the back are round white metal beads from Ethiopia the two same strands are Brown striated B atik bone oval beads . Strand in the middle is a thick brass Rolo link chain. What is BATIK Bone? Really what I did was re-do an "old" necklace that I had originally made. It needed to be re-strung, and in the process I added a few more beads here and there to make it even more precious. I love it more! It's really colorful, yet understated as far as not being BRIGHT colorful, but it is Earthy colorful. Black Rainbow Necklace 7-strand, black opaque seed beads and multi-color, multi-shaped beads Necklace length - 30" Weight - 4.9oz Made some drop earrings too. Made a few of the earrings; 2 pairs in blue and black. The necklace does not really need a pair of earrings, but it's nice to have simple pair to wear with it.
