With Mother's Day fast approaching, May 12th,  it gets me to thinking about my mother, who I lost to cancer in 2011. I'd like to do something special in her honor. My outfit began with this paisley shirt that I got from a thrift store. But I don't think it's what you notice I think the jacket is a bit more out there. Victorian-style jacket that I purchased from a thrift store too. With an outfit like this, you have to keep the jewelry to a minimum. A CHALLENGE in two ways. One is the challenge offered by the website Everybody, Everywear for one to dress  MONOCHROMATIC, which is "Choose your favorite color and wear it proudly" Dressing MONOCHROMATIC is not a problem for me but I wanted to make it a PERSONAL challenge, (which is the SECOND challenge) SECOND CHALLENGE is wear something-that-I-have-not-worn-because-I-was-too-scared-to-wear-it-outfit. I only do these postings to highlight MY PEACE of jewelry . But in this case, you can barely see MY PEACE of jewelry. It's not screaming from the mountaintops, "hey! look at me!". But I am wearing SOME-thing. It's my earrings. I made a few of them. What I like about them, are their rustic, textured and can be worn with almost anything from jeans, shorts to my cute LBD (little black dress).
