How I Wear MY PEACE - Sneaker Wedges


I finally caved in and bought some Sneaker Wedges


These are the latest trend. 
Sneakers with an internal wedge heel. 
In browsing the Internet, 
the views are pretty mixed from headlinesstating
 "Summer's Ugliest Trend? Sneaker Wedges Should be Banned!  
to various blog posts giving PRAISEs and TIPS on how to WEAR

The pair that started the Sneaker Wedge trend is Isabel Marant brand


Cost $649!
They cost $649 dollars.
Personally, I feel is ridiculous for shoes.
This weekend, a friend revealed to me that she bought two pairs.
She loves them but says they are uncomfortable.
Who buys $649 pair of shoes that you can't walk in?!

I like the shoes. But I'm not paying $649

I found a pair.
They are extremely comfortable
and very easy to walk in
for us non-heel wearing women.

My Tips to Wearing Sneaker Wedges


Tip 1. Wear ankle length "skinny" jeans

Tip 2. Balance your "skinny" jeans with a loose blouse on top

Just kidding!

But it would not hurt :)

    Die Kette ist wunderschön, Zalina! Sie kommt auf der weißen Bluse besonders gut zur Geltung. Tolles Schnäppchen die Wedges. Über 600 Dollar würde ich für Schuhe auch nicht ausgeben.

    I love wedge sneakers.. I have a pair myself. I too didn't want to pay hundreds for Isabel Marant's so I bought from Aldo at 1/6th of the price. Yours is even better for 2 reasons. One it being $30 (now, that's a bargain!) and another that it looks exactly like Marant's! Thanks for dropping by my blog Zalina, you made my day :)

    Proportion is key and you've unlocked it! Love the loose top, skinny jeans with your wedge sneaks. I don't know that I could cough up $650 on a trendy shoes. Glad you found an affordable alternative.

    The star of the show however is your necklace. Talk about a bold statement piece. It looks stunning - I like how you've mixed it in with jeans yet it still is such a visual stand out.

    When I first saw sneaker wedges I thought they were pretty ugly, but some of them look okay. I like yours because the heels not too big, so the overall shape still looks good. And you're right, those skinny jeans and a loose top are the way to go. Beautiful necklace, and I love the bag, too! Looking good!

      I agree with you Val. If you look at the Isabel Marant brand, they are a little too gaudy for me, plus they are $649. In my line of work, which is college administration, you can't dress too flashy; besides it's not my style. One must feel comfortable.

      You should go and try a few on for the fun of it. I think they fit anyone's wardrobe. When you feel like going casual, and you are preparing to put on a pair of flat tennis shoes, instead slip these on. :)

    Love your sneakers and how you wear them! I liked this trend for about a year then caved in and bought some this time last year - they're by ASOS and cost just a bit more than yours - I really couldn't see the point of paying that much either! I wear mine mostly under my wide linen trousers for the Summer - you know in UK, we rarely get proper Summer temperatures :-)

It's not to often I'm in a dress. I love dresses,  but because I commute mainly by bike it's not the best item to wear.
