How I Wear MY PEACE of jewelry - Leather cropped jacket

Image
This is one of my more organic necklaces. The beads are made from olive trees in Jerusalem.   I've posted photos before of me wearing this necklace. I haven't sold it yet, so why not post more photos. Wore this outfit last week, when it was still pretty chilly in Southern California, but it was warming up.     Leather jacket - thrifted jeans - Levi's t-shirt - Urban Outfitters faux mototorcycle boots - Steve Madden               Olive Wood & African Trade Beads Necklace on Etsy     Handcrafted Jewelry & Mannequins, Zalina Designs on Etsy   View the fashionable ladies on Not Dead Yet Style Visible Monday

MY (new) PEACE of jewelry - RE-DO!

Image
Agate and Ethiopian Bead Necklace featuring African brass pendant I redid this necklace. Here is what I originally made back in June It's a little different.  I removed the brass Rolo chain in between the agate strands  and added this lovely African pendant African Trade Brass Pendant made by the Baule tribe located in Ghana.  Using the lost wax technique, where wax is rolled into thin strips  which are formed into coils or woven into meshes.  A repeating feature throughout Baule Beads  is the regular parallel grooves that run throughout each of the beads.  Next is the sides and back of the necklace.  These are round white metal Ethiopian beads. Each bead is individually made. Finally the brown beads. I'm guessing they are Agate beads.  I love the striations. See how no two beads are alike? How I Wear MY PEACE of jewelry - Red Pants

Image
As I get older, I am getting more comfortable wearing COLOR below the waist. Big butt and thighs will not stop I. Here I am wearing URBAN OUTFITTERs - BDG Roadie Boot Jean , which I got on sale for $19 in the store.  But! You can get them online too for the same price. They are stretch denim (a good thing) but ride low (a somewhat bad thing). Because when you sit down or bend over, there might be some crack action in the rear, if you know what I mean. With this color, pairing red with white is a no brainer. Keeping it simple on top, I wore a v-neck t-shirt, which is by chance also from URBAN OUTFITTERS - BDG V-neck tee . I have plenty of white-tees. In fact recently purchased a few white tees from the GAP, but they have a little pocket on one side of the chest that does fit well with MY PEACE of jewelry . Oh yeah! MY PEACE of jewelry.  I paired my outfit with this necklace that I made using black seed beads and mixed g...

MY (new) PEACE of jewelry

Image
It's been a while since I made something. I am posing with the MY (new) PEACE of jewelry , which I made last week. Love it! I can't get away from bib style necklaces. For some reason, I like the number 3, so most of necklaces are three strands. This one is no different. Except! All three strands are not the same. Only 2 strands are the same. Beads in the back are round white metal beads from Ethiopia the two same strands are Brown striated B atik bone oval beads . Strand in the middle is a thick brass Rolo link chain. What is BATIK Bone? Batik Bone is one of several natural materials that have been available in Africa. Historically, bone beads may be made from any number of bone sources  including ivory from different kinds of animal tusks or antlers. Other natural materials similar to bone used to make beads include horn, ostrich eggshells, marine and freshwater seashells such as clams, and also coral. Bone is unique amon...

How I Wear MY PEACE of jewelry - Tribal Print

Image
When you wear TRIBAL print, especially clashing TRIBAL print, you got to keep the accessories simple. Too much is too much. Believe it or not everything I have on is from Urban Outfitters, except the jacket, it's Levi's. Each item purchased at different times. But all on sale! How I Wear MY PEACE of jewelry

I swear this is one of my favorite necklaces. It's the beads! It's the beads! They are so earthy and chunky.   My outfit this time with MY PEACE of jewelry consisted of this black Tunic and, these bright ass turquoise blue pants BDG Roadie Boot Jean , which of course I got from URBAN OUTFITTERS , on sale. Just bought a red pair online. Can't wait to wear them. Tibetan Mystical Bib Necklace on Etsy The center brown beads are from China. They're Tibetan maple/caramel colored Agate beads. Agate is like a rock that is created when molten minerals filled up a cavity in a host rock. They are semi-translucent. Tibetans consider Agate beade to have positive spiritual benefits with the ability to provide its bearer with strength, courage & PEACE (I love the word Peace) and calmness of the mind. No gemstone is more creatively striped by nature.   Handmade Jewelry & Mannequins
