I've been busy with work, teaching spinning classes and playing too much paddle tennis. If you've stopped by my blog in the past, you know that I am a jewelry designer, who mainly design jewelry that appeals to WOMEN Why, I make only for Women? Well, to be honest, I can't wrap my head around making a piece of jewelry that would appeal to MEN.  But! I realized, I have a few pieces in my collection that would look great on  Men These African Brass Ring Necklaces   My brother, Jamal is "modelling" MY PEACE of jewelry here   Personally, jewelry on MEN is a hit or miss. For me, for it to be a hit, it can't be gaudy, effeminate, cheesy, big or obvious. For me, a man should wear the jewelry and not the jewelry wear the man It's obvious when a "man" is trying too hard to look like a "cool", "trendy", "fashionista". I really do like options, when it comes to MY PEACE of jewelry.  Besides making statement PEACEs,   I like PEACEs that can be worn alone or together.  Lately, I have been combining varying metallic chain links to create multi-strand necklaces. Layering MY PEACE of jewelry Borderline Harem Pants from Urban Outfitters . Bought online for $10 bucks. I say "borderline" because the crotch is not all the way down to the knees. I might be a colorful dresser, but somewhat restrained. Harem pants gone wrong These might be comfortable to wear around the house but not meant to be seen in public. These just make you look indecisive. Do you want to wear a skirt or pants? Make up your mind! If you are hippy and have a butt (which I have both), then you got to be careful in the types of harem pants you wear. The higher the crotch the better and not a lot of loose fabric around the hips. Layering necklaces is similar to fitting together PEACEs of a puzzle - fitting the right PEACEs together makes for a nice look. Over the next few posts, I am going to feature my single strand necklaces paired with this multi-strand necklace that I recently made. The multi-strand necklace consists of various chain links; gold plated, brass and gun metal that are different sizes and lengths. The single strand necklace featured today is this gold-plated CHUNKY CHAIN LINK featuring a CRYSTAL wire wrapped. In doing my research on, I found out that different formations of CRYSTALS may possibly  have varied metaphysical  and healing properties and lore meanings. I finished MY PEACE a few weeks ago, but just got around to posting some pics. I love it! But I got to be honest, what the hell can I wear with it?
