How I Make MY (new) PEACE of jewelry - Olive Wood Beads and Tibetan Mosaic Turquoise Necklace & Earring Set

Image
How I Make MY (new) PEACE of jewelry - from the bottom to the final An IDEA of what to make will pop into my mind.  This time it was I will make a NECKLACE I have a lot of beads, which I MERGE together. In this case, I used these natural, organic olive wood beads that are oval-shaped. with these Turquoise inlay, teardrop beads I combined the two together; teardrop Turquoise beads and oval Olive wood beads, accented with little round brass beads. Having finished the main strand with the Turquoise pendant charms, I decided to make a multi-strand necklace I tried it on... Finished! Oval Olive Wood beads - 12mm x 6mm Teardrop Tibetan Turquoise Mosaic beads - 25mm x 12mm Curved Tube Noodle Beads - 45mm x 15mm Necklace and Earring Set on Etsy Handmade Jewelry & Mannequins on Etsy

How I wear MY PEACE of JEWELRY

Image
Olive Wood Bead Necklace One of my favorite necklaces. It can be worn with anything, like a dress, t-shirt or blouse. Today I am wearing it with a striped blue/white t-shirt from Brandy & Melville, midnight blue corduroy jeans from the Gap with my SCORED! thrift find brown platform ankle boots AND lime green leather jacket. PEACE I'd wear...

Image
I really do design with ME in mind in order to have the PEACE of mind with the finished PEACE. Therefore, I am going to show how I would wear my PEACE. For you, it may be different how you'd wear the PEACE. When someone does buy my necklaces, it really gives me a thrill. I like combining different textured beads to make a harmmonious PEACE of JEWELRY. In this case, the necklace features a sterling silver Tibetan Oval Pendant hanging from a multitude of antiqued brass link chains and two strands of oval brass beads spaced with dangling silver bell beads that don't make noise. Below, I combined my necklace (that I made) with a gold-plated strand necklace, just to give it a little more meat. The necklace can be worn with jeans and t-shirt, like I am doing here or with a really nice simple dress. When it comes to statement necklaces, it's all about the neckline. How I would wear...

Image
I am going to start posting once a week, how I would wear MY PEACE of JEWELRY because it's always nice to see how a PEACE looks on someone. Also, I photograph my PEACEs on friends, family and strangers to show how my PEACEs can be worn. There is no wrong way or right way, just your way. Please remember, I am not a great photographer. I am still learning how to use all the different options. Here it goes. I am starting with this necklace. It's a 2-strand necklace consisting of big oval wood beads accented with two big round glass Turquoise colored beads. Taken July 20, 2010 MY PEACE of JEWELRY http://www.etsy.com/shop/Zeedubya

Olive Wood Beads!

Image
Here is my latest necklace that I made. It features 3 strands of 12 x 8mm Olive wood oval beads with a Congolo seed as a pendant. The Congolo seed measures approximately 2" hgt x 1.5" width. The necklace is very light. The pendant, which is the Congolo seed is also known as a "Sea bean". These sea-beans don't initially come from the sea. Nonetheless, they commonly drift to and into the oceans and wash ashore, so being referred to as "sea-beans". They come from trees and vines that grow along tropical shores and rain forests all over the world. The seeds fall from their parent plant into waterways, such as the Amazon River, then drift through inlets to reach the ocean. They travel with ocean currents until they wash up on a beach somewhere, perhaps thousands of miles from their origin. Sea-beans are quite hard and buoyant, which helps them survive their long-distance voyage. I don't know exactly where my Sea beans originally come from but I bought ...
