Image
I've already posted one tutorial about How to Make a Mannequin out of paper, paste and patience. It's been 3 years since that post. For kicks, I thought I'd make a new post just to see how much I've aged over the years. Ha! Besides me getting older, nothing else has changed. I still make each MANNEQUIN with the same materials. 1. paper bags 2. wallpaper paste 3. patience 4. time Now, when I decided to make this post,  I was already in the process of making another TORSO. I've sold quite a few on Etsy with great feedback . I started taking pictures after making one layer over my original MANNEQUIN I let it dry and now I'm cutting the form from the original MANNEQUIN After cutting the form, then I separated from the original MANNEQUIN Here is the form, front and back Next, need to close the back with tape Using cardboard to close the bottom and start adding layers with paper mache...

MANNEQUIN - Display Options

Image
I make the mannequins to display jewelry. Being a jewelry designer, I know what is needed to be a good mannequin. 1. sturdy 2. light 3. mobile 4. pretty   I have a tutorial on how to make your own DIY - Mannequin and there are several other tutorials all over the internet But if you want one already made, you can purchase one of my WO-mannequin I've sold several on Etsy   Since I started making these mannequins a few years ago, I've added a couple of different shaped ones.   Here I want to show how my favorite necklace (I made it too) looks on each WO-mannequin. Chinese Tibetan Agate Necklace Bust     mini-Torso Torso    Head n' Torso   What I like about the headless MANNEQUINs is I don't have to continuously open and close the clasp on the necklaces. Just slip over the neck and it lays perfectly.       Handmade Jewelry & Mannequins

Plastic wrap   Yes, the same plastic wrap to wrap your left overs   I wrap the original mannequin in plastic wrap to avoid it getting wet or sliced. Plastic wrap clings to itself without...
