LAYERING NECKLACEs

Image
Layering necklaces. I am not sure if it's the new trend but I've been seeing it a lot lately and I want to do my version with MY PEACEs. There are videos and blogs on how to layer necklaces. Just go to YouTube or wonderhowto.com and type in layering necklaces and you will get all kinds of videos. Anyway, here is another PEACE that I made to stand alone BUT I feel can be layered with various types of link chains to give it a whole new look. MY ORIGINAL PEACE I added a few Antiqued brass link chains. I like it better with the chains. The PEACE has an extension chain for you to determine what length to wear. The longer I have a PEACE, the more I am thinking about it and how I can improve on it. So! I thought why not consider options on how to wear this MY PEACE of JEWELRY?!? I ordered these inexpensive link chains (ok cheap! so cheap in fact the brass plating is already wearing off,). Anyway here what it looks like with a double strand link chain. I created the double strand add...

Orignial, Redesign, Redo, Redid

ORIGINAL MY PEACE of JEWELRY Redesign, Redo, Redid. It does not matter what you call it but this particular PEACE, I've redone 4 TIMES! I spend A LOT of hours on this PEACE. I knew what I wanted and I was not going settle for anything less. Above is the PEACE, I originally made. I really did like it. But the problem was the link chain. It's gold-plated link chain. With gold-plated link chain, the ultra-thin layer of real gold wears off leaving a discoloration in various spots of the PEACE; making it not very attractive and cheap looking. Eventually the link chain will tarnish to a black looking color. Don't get me wrong, I like the tarnish (or more fashionable word is oxidized) look, but not tarnished in spots. So to combat the gold-plated link chain, I went with another type of link chain It's an antiqued brass finish. I don't like it. The chain size is too, too, too small. The PEACE just seems off. I wanted the necklace to be a striking PEACE. Here, it just looks ...

PEACE I'd wear...

I really do design with ME in mind in order to have the PEACE of mind with the finished PEACE. Therefore, I am going to show how I would wear my PEACE. For you, it may be different how you'd wear the PEACE. When someone does buy my necklaces, it really gives me a thrill. I like combining different textured beads to make a harmmonious PEACE of JEWELRY. In this case, the necklace features a sterling silver Tibetan Oval Pendant hanging from a multitude of antiqued brass link chains and two strands of oval brass beads spaced with dangling silver bell beads that don't make noise. Below, I combined my necklace (that I made) with a gold-plated strand necklace, just to give it a little more meat. The necklace can be worn with jeans and t-shirt, like I am doing here or with a really nice simple dress. When it comes to statement necklaces, it's all about the neckline. Link Chain STATEMENT NECKLACES IN

Image
Multi-Link chain necklaces seem to be in right now. I like them because I can wear them with my style of dress. I can say that I dress TOMBOY-ISH. Mainly, I wear jeans and t-shirts. If the t-shirt is not white then it's some unique shape, color or print that fits pretty loose to the torso. I have a long torso, long arms and thank god a flat stomach and a nice butt, if I say so myself. Anyway, I design PEACEs that I can wear with my style of dress. My MULTI-LINK CHAIN STATEMENT necklaces are pretty versatile. They can be worn by a girl, who dresses prissy (not me), or punk (not me), bohemian (maybe me), girly (not me) or tomboy-ish (that's me). See above for my tomboy-ish look. I have made a new line of PEACEs that feature various link chains. MY PEACE of JEWELRY go to http://www.etsy.com/shop/Zeedubya
