Silver Saber Silky MY PEACE of NECKLACE on ZEE

Image
I love this PEACE. I love all MY PEACEs. Recently made this PEACE putting together many silver chains mixed with a few various different sized and colored link chains. It's really two necklaces that can be worn together or each on it's own. The pendant, I put on it's own chain, called a Rollo chain. Here are some pics of the necklace on me. Silver Saber Silky MY PEACE of NECKLACE

I have two of these pendants and incorporated each one in a necklace; one where it is featured and the other it's not. The pendant is sterling silver measuring approximately 2 inches long and 1 inch wide made in Tibet. Online, the bead is described as a Tibetan Brass Repoussee bead. What is "Repoussee" you might ask? Well Repoussee is a metal working technique of embossing a metal sheet (silver, copper, brass) by punching and hammering a design from the back, then polishing it up in front with a chasing hammer, producing a three-dimensional base-relief surface. The techniques of repoussé dates back to the 3rd millenium BC in the Middle East. Anyway, that is a little history of the featured pendant. Now here are some photos of the necklace I made. I call it my Silver Sabeer Silky MY PEACE of NECKLACE. I love this PEACE. Well, I love all MY PEACEs. MY PEACE got me a HUG!

What I love about jewelry is a PEACE can look different on each person. The other day I was taking photographs of MY PEACEs during my lunch break at work. These kids, (they were actually teenagers, but kids to me) were skateboarding in the area. I had my tripod set up and was taking pics of my hand stamp cuffs. Here are some photos. While I was taking the photos one of the guys came over and asked what was I doing. I told him that I make jewelry and sell it on Etsy. He said "Awww that's cool!". He started looking at my cuffs and said that he really liked them and asked how much did they cost. I told him $15 each, wherein he replied, "I only have $10." I was astounded! I asked him, "You want to buy one?!?" He said he wanted to buy and give to a friend. I thought that was really cool. Anyway, I was so flattered, I asked him if he would take a few pics wearing a cuff. He did. Here are the photos. After taking the photos (took maybe two minutes), I gave hi

I've been gone for a while but I am back. I went to New Zealand in November 2010. Of course I had to take some of MY PEACEs with me. I did not know exactly what I wanted to do with them there. I was too scared to attempt selling them, so instead I did the next best thing took photographs. Here are some photographs I took. MY PEACE of JEWELRY http://www.etsy.com/shop/Zeedubya
