How I Wear MY PEACE of jewelry

Image
Even though it's blazing hot this week, last week was still June gloom, with overcast mornings, hazy sun afternoons and cool evenings. With the cool weather I was able to wear these ankle cowboy boots that I got for a steal from the thrift store. Levi's - black jeans Levi's - crop jean jacket Gap - t-shirt MY PEACE of jewelry - Necklaces I kept the jewelry to a minimum, wearing one of my necklaces. It's part of my Layering Charm Necklaces on Etsy.  These necklaces can be paired with other necklaces as seen here Layering Necklaces Even though I kept it simple I could have worn this necklace. I am bummed I did not make it but I am not bummed that I bought it from a thrift store. It's a beautiful, outstanding statement necklace. Heading into the weekend, I'm looking forward to the continued hot weather. Handmade Jewelry & Mannequins

African Brass Pendants are the perfect embellishment for a simple chain paired with other necklaces. I paired with my Multiple chain link necklace African Brass Pendants are not native to one specific region of Africa. Brass-making on the continent spans a number of different municipal areas where brass was originally mined such as the Ivory Coast, or where recycled brass is particularly abundant – Ghana. West African Bronze pendant hanging from gun metal link chain. African Rectangular Pendant hanging from leather cord African Mask Pendant hanging from gun metal chain link Double Angle African Pendant African Brass Circle Pendant These are a few of the pendants layered with my Multi-chain link necklace. I think each one works great with it.  Handmade Jewelry & Mannequins

Me in lace!?!.  Never did I think I would be caught dead in a prairie dress.  But when I saw this one, I instantly fell in love with it. Also, bought the suede ankle boots at the same time from the same thrift store,  plus the  Anne Klein  purse from there too, but was previously purchased. My brother's army jacket. He does not know that I have it. Black ankle jeans from Levi's. Not wanting to wear a necklace, I paired my ensemble with  MY PEACE of jewelry Wood Disc Earrings Brass n' Wood Earrings sold on Etsy Handmade Jewelry & Mannequins

MY PEACEs - Layering Necklaces

Layering necklaces is similar to fitting together PEACEs of a puzzle - fitting the right PEACEs together makes for a nice look. Over the next few posts, I am going to feature my single strand necklaces paired with this multi-strand necklace that I recently made. The multi-strand necklace consists of various chain links; gold plated, brass and gun metal that are different sizes and lengths. The single strand necklace featured today is this gold-plated CHUNKY CHAIN LINK featuring a CRYSTAL wire wrapped. In doing my research on, I found out that different formations of CRYSTALS may possibly  have varied metaphysical  and healing properties and lore meanings. The use of crystals dates back as far as there are records of history itself.  They were used in Biblical times, throughout Ancient Egypt, Rome and date to all ancient cultures. The actual word crystal comes from a Greek word Crystallos,  from “Krysos” meaning “ice cold”. Cry

How I Wear MY PEACE of jewelry - Red Pants

As I get older, I am getting more comfortable wearing COLOR below the waist. Big butt and thighs will not stop I. Here I am wearing URBAN OUTFITTERs - BDG Roadie Boot Jean , which I got on sale for $19 in the store.  But! You can get them online too for the same price. They are stretch denim (a good thing) but ride low (a somewhat bad thing). Because when you sit down or bend over, there might be some crack action in the rear, if you know what I mean. With this color, pairing red with white is a no brainer. Keeping it simple on top, I wore a v-neck t-shirt, which is by chance also from URBAN OUTFITTERS - BDG V-neck tee . I have plenty of white-tees. In fact recently purchased a few white tees from the GAP, but they have a little pocket on one side of the chest that does fit well with MY PEACE of jewelry . Oh yeah! MY PEACE of jewelry.  I paired my outfit with this necklace that I made using black seed beads and mixed glass beads of various sizes, shape

Crochet racer back tank purchased (of course) from Urban Outfitters. I'd never thought I'd be into crochet, but it works because it's fully lined, really comfortable, sturdy and lightweight. It feels like a sporty top but looks very feminine. You got to be careful not to look like a Halloween themed poster child. And the way I avoid that is never wear with black pants. At least I would Never! Anyway, I paired this shirt with my newly purchased LEVIs - Modern Bold Curve Ankle Skinny Jeans Levi's is another staple brand in my closet. Most of my jeans are Levi's. Usually, I buy them on sale but this time I bought at full price $68. Having gone to the Levi store plenty of time, I had never been measure. This time I was measured. and was determined to be a "modern bold curve" shaped woman.  Levi definition: a curvy woman with a very defined waist, hip and seat (see where the arrows are pointing above?) Third Street Promenade - Artist Galore

I don't live far from Third Street Promenade. If you have not been there, it's located in Santa Monica, California on "3rd Street". The street is lined with boutiques and major shops and ends in a cul-de-sac, which is the setting of high-end stores that I will NEVER step foot in because for one can't afford the prices and two it's ridiculous to pay such high prices, when fashion can be achieved for much less. Having completed my yoga class, I met a girlfriend of mine on "The Promenade", as it's sometimes called. The street is lined with "street performers". Some have even appeared on America's Got Talent! The ones I photographed here are a mix of the good and the BAD. I got in a few of the shots. Call me goofy but who cares, I blend right in. Don't I? He peformed Michael Jackson songs while blowing his horn I wasn't performing, I was being measured at the Levi store for jeans. I
