How to Wear MY PEACE of jewelry - Ruffles

Yes, ruffles
Usually me and ruffles don't mesh
But I loved this dress
It's a thrift store find.

This particular photo session, I call my "hard & soft" shoot.
Me wearing a feminine dress and
photographing myself in front of metal sculpture

With my ruffle dress I wore MY PEACE of jewelry Chandelier Earrings

These earrings I made using Turquoise heishi beads, silver metal gypsy beads and silver metal wire.
I call them my "House" earrings because they look like the front of a house

I took these photos on UCLA's campus, Murphy Sculpture Garden.
The "Gardens" spans nearly 5 acres of UCLA'S campus and has over 70 sculptures.
This sculpture is only one of many that I plan to photograph.

  1. Marvelous photo shoot, Zalina, and you look beautiful in ruffles (and this color). Thanks so much for sharing with Visible Monday!

  2. Great outfit. Great location. Have a good time. Sunny

  3. This is one of my favorite colors to wear because it's almost universally flattering - and it looks terrific on you! I wish I still had pierced ears because I would buy those earring in an instant!

    1. Hi Alicia:

Thanks so much. The good news is since I took these photographs I sold the earrrings. Yippee!

  4. Great photos! I love the sculpture and it's a great backdrop for you in that dress and earrings. Congrats on being featured on Huffington Post!

  5. Great photos! The sculpture accents the design and color of this dress in a beautiful way. Such a pretty dress on you and your jewelry and accessories compliment this outfit so well.

  6. Wonderful dress, I love ruffles! Very good choice dear Zalina, also in color.
Your house-earrings are lovely, like them :)

    Love your hair! :)

  7. I love the ruffled dress contrasted with the stark lines of that sculpture. Fabulous!

  8. Damn girl! You rock that ruffled dress! Love the sculpture garden as your backdrop - very classy! Great shoes and earrings, too...the whole thing really works beautifully!

  9. Hallo liebe Zalina!

Oh! Du meinte die Westkueste. Los Angeles und San Francisco sind am Westkueste. Ich mag San Franscisco. Es ist ein nette Stadt. Man braucht kein Auto.

    2. Ich meine auch die Wetsküste.
      Herzlichst Annette

  10. Awesome dress! You look amazing in it - bold and strong. Love the earrings too.

  11. Beautiful you in your blue dress ... so gorgeous on your skin. On a pale girl, it wouldn't have been half so beautiful! Lovely environs, but they only serve to show you off to fabulous advantage. And, turquoise ... of course!

    1. Hi Jan:

I think you'd look great in the color. It's not as bold as you think.
