MY PEACE - Cemetary & Boots

Image
Last Saturday, I visited a cemetary in my neighborhood, called Woodlawn Cemetary. I did not start the day out expecting to go to a cemetary; it just happened that way.It sounds kind of creepy, but I was lured to it because it's so beautiful. My mother passed away less than a year ago. Since the funeral I have not visited her grave. I don't want to. It's not necessary for me to see a plaque in the ground in order to remember her. I think about her everyday and have my memories too. Anyway back to visiting the cemetary. I am drawn to beautiful setings. In this case, it just happens to be a cemetary. I drive by it all the time and have always wanted to view the headstones close up. Started the day normal enough by riding my bike to the beach. Had a glass of wine at the Waterfront Cafe in Venice  (ok, maybe two glasses), then rode onto Main Street, visiting my favorite thrift store, Buffalo Exchange. Found these fabulous boots. Love them! How I wear MY PEACE of JEWELRY - Happy Valentine's Day

Image
In honor of V-day, I wore to work my red seude pants, which I refer to as my "skinny" pants noted in a previous post, HERE .  I did not want to be too obvious that it was V-day, but I guess I was, considering my PANTS are RED. Paired my pants with a thrifted beige sweater, brown ebay-purchased-60's-style-ankle-boots and a multi-strand, multi-fall-earth-tone-colored-wooden-beads choker necklace. How I wear MY PEACE of JEWELRY

"Ahhhhhhh, shit!" I take my own photographs. It's kind of difficult because I have a timer (not a hand-held remote), which I set for 10 seconds. I click the button, run in front of the camera, strike a pose, trying to appear calm and then woila! A photograph. Yesterday, I ran in front of the camera, struck a pose, then a gush of wind pushes through and camera starts to fall and this shot was taken....lovely. I saved the camera from falling. Thank goodness! Cuff n' Card Collection

Maybe I went a little overboard but besides making these cuffs, I made my own cards! These are kind of cute. I photographed cuffs with these wooden art figures, then made a photocopy and glued to the front of a card. Handmade Jewelry
