How I Wear MY PEACE of jewelry - Sheath Dress

Before I go into my spiel about My Outfit.
You fellow bloggers can understand how "embarrassing" to shoot outdoors.
I shoot my own photos, mainly at the Botanical Gardens in Westwood;
hopefully away from everyone.
In this case, a lovely lady was walking by and said she really admired me taking photos of myself
Awkward!

Sheath Dress
Defined as flattering for most body types
Basic wardrobe staple for any closet
Fall 2013 fashion trend

I got mine
First time I've worn my Sheath Dress,
which I purchased several months ago (on sale) from Urban Outfitters

It's bejeweled with 1920's fringe

Another dress that I had to have but did not know where or how I would wear it
It's a stretch for me to wear dresses because
I don't like to wear heels and I commute to work on my bike
But I figured it out.
Wear flats.

Paired the dress with cropped Levi jacket

Considering the high neckline and design on the dress,
not much jewelry can be worn.

I kept my jewelry simple

A sheath dress can be worn so many ways.
Depending on the print and shape
wearing jewelry is not necessary with a busy print
and with solid color dress, then play up the dress with  a lot of jewelry.
In the case of this dress, jewelry should be to a minimum

  2. Zalina, I think this dress is killer on you. I loved it even before scrolling down and seeing those fantastic fringes. I do some beading, and I really love wooden beads. They are lighter than many other types of beads, yet can be substantial looking. Your earrings are very, very nice.

  3. Beautiful, and perfect with flats. No need for heels if you don't want! Gorgeous details and will work all winter with tights or skinnies under, more jackets and of course all your wonderful jewelry. Wear it everywhere!!!!! Such a classic shape, just skimming your figure. Great idea!

I know what you mean about taking photos in public. I won't even take them in my front yard!

  10. Zalina you look beautiful in your sheath! I appreciate not only the outfit details... but how you work the outfit into your life...I always think that is how any outfit becomes more interesting!

Yes, I do know, as we all do... how awkward taking pictures in public can be! I have recently decided I care more about the photo though now... and that has been a couple of years in the making! I am very impressed you take your own photos... something I want to work on!

    Wishing you a wonderful week!

  14. This is such a great dress on you! You have an amazing figure and awesome arms - they made to be shown off in sleeveless dresses! I hate taking pictures for the blog in public - so embarressing. Me and the bf pretend to be tourists!

  15. That is a crazy cool dress! And I really think you styled it nicely :) It kind of seems like it would be a difficult piece to remix, but I think it's got a great design!
