How I Wear MY PEACE of jewelry



Even though it's blazing hot this week,
last week was still June gloom,
with overcast mornings, hazy sun afternoons and cool evenings.
With the cool weather I was able to wear these ankle cowboy boots
that I got for a steal from the thrift store.

MY PEACE of jewelry - Necklaces

I kept the jewelry to a minimum, wearing one of my necklaces.
It's part of my Layering Charm Necklaces on Etsy. 
These necklaces can be paired with other necklaces as seen here Layering Necklaces

Even though I kept it simple
I could have worn this necklace.
I am bummed I did not make it but I am not bummed
that I bought it from a thrift store.
It's a beautiful, outstanding statement necklace.



Heading into the weekend, I'm looking forward to the continued hot weather.

Getting started...

I've been making or stringing beads together for years. I am not exactly sure how I started making jewelry. Oh yeah! I got started because I've always collected beads. I liked going to bead shops and bought beads that appealed to me then would place in empty pickle jars and store them on my shelfs at home. After a while I had so many beads that I needed to do something with them, which was the obvious - make jewelry. I bought some how-to books and that is how I got started. A few years back, friend of mine, who worked at Fox, encouraged me to let her sell my stuff at their Xmas bazaar. I was pleasantly surprised - I sold quite a few items. My friend was so cool.
