How I Wear MY PEACE - Rocked Out

Not only did I wear a rock n' roll iconic band t-shirt Van Halen, but I also wore rockin' necklace.
No really, the necklace feature rock gems, called Lapis Lazuli.

Lapis Lazuli
Lapis is latin for stone, and from the Arabic, azul, means blue. Pretty straight forward. I am wearing "blue rocks", which it actually is, rather than, what most people think is it's a mineral. It IS composed of various minerals: lazurite, pyrite and calcite, but it's still just a rock.

The best Lapis Lazuli is uniformly deep blue in color,
being opaque to semi-translucent and consist almost totally of lazurite.

It was extracted from mines around Lake Baikal and in Afghanistan since about the year 6000 BC. British scientists who discovered the tomb of King Tut in 1920 found that it was decorated with lapis lazuli.

Lapis Lazuli was revered in both Egypt and Babylonia and was
believed to be a cure for melancholy.

The Romans believed that lapis was also a powerful aphrodisiac.
In the Middle Ages, it was thought to keep the limbs healthy and free the soul
from error, envy and fear.

Lapis Lazuli is said to be associated with self-confidence, truthfulness, openness and inner tranquility. Lapis Lazuli is the ancient stone of mental and psychological health. It promotes spiritual healing, mental calmness and strength of will. It increases psychic abilities and allows for spiritual growth.

Anyway, back to my outfit.

Rock n' Roll!
(I'm so goofy)

On my wrist, I am wearing one of my MY PEACE of jewelry MANTRA CUFFS. I handstamp on brass cuffs positive words of wisdom on how to go through life. For instance, this cuff is "practice happiness". What better way to remind yourself that you have a choice on how you are going to face each day. Do you want to dwell in sorrow or happiness? I choose to be happy. That does not mean I am jumping for joy every minute. In fact, I am far from being over the moon. I cry at least once a week (smile). But! I am aware that it is up to me how I face the world.
It is state of mind, mind of state.

I have other phrases on my Etsy site.
