MANNEQUIN - DIY Different angled shots

Image
When I am considering purchasing something, it's always cool to see as many photos of the item. That is why I continue to take photos while I still have them until they are sold. I've taken so many straight on shots that I am beginning to take more shots at different angles which really feature jewelry very well and you get an opportunity to see MY PEACE of jewelry from all angles. Here are some shots I took a few weeks ago of my WO-MANNEQUINs Head n' Torso Measurements: Height - 28" Bust - 32" Waist - 25" Weight - 1 pound 5 ounces (very lightweight) Can hang HOOP or HOOK earrings from the ears. DIY Mannequin How to make a WO-MANNEQUIN completed

Image
Making a WO-MANNEQUIN takes a lot of time, but I love it. It's like a work of art. I finished my latest WO-MANNEQUIN ! It's the Head n' Torso. With this particular one, I extended the neck so long earrings could be hooked on either side. FINAL WORK PROCESS  If you ever viewed my post about "how to make your own mannequin" I veered from just using the form. I added curves and angles that are not on the original form. I love it!  I feature it as sculpture in my apartment. I get so many compliments, when people see it. BUT! It is also great to display my necklaces and hook or hoop earrings. It is also great to display knitted items, such as caps and scarves and also small to medium sized t-shirts. DIY - MANNEQUIN in process

Image
My mini - WO-MANNEQUIN. I just sold this one a few weeks ago on Etsy. The mini is really nice to feature a necklace, such as these lovelies made by me. mini-WO-MANNEQUIN featured above was the only one I made so far. I am in the process of making another one right now. Even though I liked this one, there was one thing that bothered me. It not having a neck. What little neck it does have, is just not enough for my taste. So this next one I am making now will have a long neck. When it comes to making a Mannequin, you don't have to follow the form to the tee. Be creative! Add to or subtract from the piece based on what you desire. The neck here is a little too long, but I am in the process of making it, so I will chop off some of the neck. Sounds so gruesome. Final photos of mini- WO-MANNEQUIN will be posted soon. WO-MANNEQUINs on Etsy

Xmas Break - MY PEACE vacation stay-cation

Image
I work for a major college in Los Angeles, where every year the campus is closed from Xmas to New Year's. Like most folks, I look forward to this time off, but not for the relaxation factor, but for my ability to commit my time to MY PEACE of JEWELRY. I work on new peaces and mannequins. It was a great stay-cation for creating. Made a "new" formed WO-MANNEQUIN, as seen here on the right. It's not finished. Will post when complete. It's a minature sized version of a woman's torso. The one on the left is a woman's head n' torso. Here are the ones I did finish.
