How I Wear MY (new) PEACE of jewelry - Hooker Wear

Image
John Lee Hooker , that is. Have you heard of him? One of the best blues singer ever. Born in 1917 - Died 2001. I like his music, so I purchased the shirt. You definitely can't wear this to the office. Or can you?   Having just made MY (new) PEACE of jewelry NECKLACE   I was anxious to wear it. So I paired it with t-shirt.  Available on Etsy     The necklace, I made using repurposed brass link chains, lucite oval beads,  round faux pearl beads plus a foreign coin. It's a bib-style "statement" necklace.           knit cap - Urban Outfitters Camo-jacket - thrifted *ankle length black jeans - Levi's black wing tip shoes - thrifted *hobo purse - Urban Outfitters *My Wish List Items     I made earrings too; in fact two pairs of drop earrings. MY (new) PEACE of jewelry

I love this PEACE! Ok, I love all MY PEACEs. MY latest PEACE that I made here features chunky Turquoise HEISHI (pronounced Hee-shee) beads hanging from a chunky brass Rolo Chain     What is heishi? Heishi beads originally come from the Navajos, a Native American tribe from the Southwest. Heishi means shell and in the past, referred to pieces of shell that have been drilled and hand rolled or ground into bead shapes and strung as necklaces.       What I like about this necklace, is it can be paired with other necklaces for a pretty nice bohemian look   I paired it with one of my multi-strand, various Link Chain Necklaces Available on Etsy   I paired it with a simple Rolo Chain         Necklace available on Etsy   Handmade Jewelry & Mannequins by Zalina

Just made MY (new) PEACE of jewelry  It's a necklace set mixing a multi-strand link chains  and one other necklace that features an awesome antique African brass ring from Nigeria. Each PEACE can be worn alone  Made of bronze and brass, these type of rings were used as fare tokens for transport in Nigeria. I don't know how old are these rings I have, but I fell in love with their simplicity and sturdiness. . As for the multi-strand link chain necklace, it's made of variety of chains that I have.  I don't like MY PEACEs to look new. It's part gun-metal link chains of different sizes  and small part gold-plated link chain.  I wore it this week for Thanksgiving with my casual attire LEVI jeans and an oversize sweater from Brandy & Melville Since my mother passed away, my brother has taken over the role of cooking Thanksgiving dinner.  Thanks, bro! Besides MY PEACE of jewelry , ...

African Brass Pendants are the perfect embellishment for a simple chain paired with other necklaces. I paired with my Multiple chain link necklace African Brass Pendants are not native to one specific region of Africa. Brass-making on the continent spans a number of different municipal areas where brass was originally mined such as the Ivory Coast, or where recycled brass is particularly abundant – Ghana. West African Bronze pendant hanging from gun metal link chain. African Rectangular Pendant hanging from leather cord African Mask Pendant hanging from gun metal chain link Double Angle African Pendant African Brass Circle Pendant These are a few of the pendants layered with my Multi-chain link necklace. I think each one works great with it.  Handmade Jewelry & Mannequins
