How I Wear MY PEACE of jewelry - Van Halen Rocks!

Image
Van Halen! Ok, I am not really into Van Halen, but I love Rock n' Roll t-shirts.  I love pairing ethnic statement necklaces with rock n' roll t-shirts. Statement necklaces with  jeans and t-shirt is just beautiful; at least for me they are beautiful, I feel "nice" when I combine them. "dressed up" is the word, but "special" is not. I rarely wear heels and I don't wear many dresses but I LOVE wearing JEWELRY! I love wearing necklaces and earrings. And how to combine a unisex, tomboyish and adrogynous clothes with frou frou jewelry is my challenge Here is my view. Ethnic necklace - rock n' roll t'shirt Van Halen   is an American hard rock band formed in Pasadena, California, in 1972. It's 1978 debut album, Van Halen- featuring guitarist Eddie Van Halen, vocalist David Lee Roth, drummer Alex Van Halen, and bassist Michael Anthony- is widely considered to be among the most "original" and revolu...

MY PEACE - Cemetary & Boots

Image
Last Saturday, I visited a cemetary in my neighborhood, called Woodlawn Cemetary. I did not start the day out expecting to go to a cemetary; it just happened that way.It sounds kind of creepy, but I was lured to it because it's so beautiful. My mother passed away less than a year ago. Since the funeral I have not visited her grave. I don't want to. It's not necessary for me to see a plaque in the ground in order to remember her. I think about her everyday and have my memories too. Anyway back to visiting the cemetary. I am drawn to beautiful setings. In this case, it just happens to be a cemetary. I drive by it all the time and have always wanted to view the headstones close up. Started the day normal enough by riding my bike to the beach. Had a glass of wine at the Waterfront Cafe in Venice  (ok, maybe two glasses), then rode onto Main Street, visiting my favorite thrift store, Buffalo Exchange. Found these fabulous boots. Love them! As fo...

Shoo, Squirrel! MY PEACE of JEWELRY

Image
Yesterday, during lunch, I was at the park shooting MY PEACE cuffs. I am laying on the ground, well the grass, taking close-up shots of MY PEACE cuffs. When all of a sudden a squirrel is coming towards me till I said "Shoo!". The squirrel stopped and I got this picture before he ski-daddled away. MY PEACEs go with me everywhere

Image
I was intending on taking new photos of MY PEACEs outside but it's Friday. What do I do sometimes on Friday? I have pizza and wine. The waitress wanted to see MY PEACEs. I had my new camera, which I really want to learn how to use the various settings. What better way to practice taking photos in low light. With my Canon PowerShot SX120IS set to an ISO of 1600, and an aperture of 2.8, I got these photos. Not too bad. It was really dim in the place. I only had two glasses of red wine and 3/4 of a mini-meat pizza :).
